About The Author

Frank Reddon has been an avid collector of all things Led Zeppelin for over 25 years. While an undergrad at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), he submitted a paper on the musical evolution of Led Zeppelin as part of a course on popular music culture. His professor was so impressed with his analysis, he encouraged Frank to write a book about it someday.

He decided to do just that.

Over the past ten years, Frank has logged over 16,000 hours compiling an original — and massive — manuscript for publication. With the 40th anniversary of Led Zeppelin's formation quickly approaching in 2008, Frank and Enzepplopedia Publishing decided that the time was right to release this unique series of books.

The result? A three-volume rollout of the Sonic Boom series over the course of 2008-2009. Each deals with a completely different aspect of
Led Zeppelin. (For more details on each of the three volumes in the series, please click on the link above "Our Books").

Along the way, Frank has become an internationally acknowledged expert on the group's early period of musical evolution. His encyclopedic knowledge led him to create Enzepplopedia Publishing, so he could share his work with others who are equally fascinated with the amazing cultural phenomenon known as Led Zeppelin.

Frank has contributed reference materials for other works on Led Zeppelin; notably, the hugely successful book "Led Zeppelin Live: An Exploration of Underground Tapes" written by Luis Rey and published by The Hot Wacks Press (Final Edition, 1997).

In addition to writing about Led Zeppelin, Frank is a musician (guitar, trombone, piano and cello), horticulturalist, tournament tennis player and ultramarathoner.

Whether you're a Led Zeppelin fan, a musician, a researcher or a student of popular music culture in the 1960s, you're sure to enjoy all three volumes of the Sonic Boom series. Frank's curiosity has driven him to uncover some fascinating information that will undoubtedly be news to you, too.
